IDEATION
User Flow
define path of ideation to shape solution……..iterative process
How can the research findings be used? A user flow was created based on how a particular task can be completed. The primary focus is on:
Prioritizing the quickest pathway to searching & sorting the payment history
Enable users to share a selected month's history to any email address
The user task was to view the transaction history and then share it by email.
DESIGN EVOLUTION
WIREFRAMES

include labels for images?
Low-fidelity wireframes were created as an extension of the user flow to convey a brief visual of the user journey.
Prototypes - early designs
The user task was to view the transaction history and then share it by email.
INITIAL DISCOVERY
state biggest result, explain in short concise words
We interviewed five avid food delivery application users ranging from 26 to 40 years old to understand the delights and pain points they come across. We asked questions about usage habits, personal budgeting & tracking and what they like or dislike about the existing features on the platform.
Based on the user interviews, this what they said.
"I would use a [expenditure] tracking feature. It would not affect how often I
use the app."
Currently I need to"…manually calculate all orders to find how much I spent in a month"
"I use Rocket Money to see how much I spent on food delivery the past week"
"My daughter uses it alot. I can't see how much she spent on DoorDash recently. There is no way for her to easily share me that information"
Key Insights
80% would benefit from a transaction tracking option
100% participants agreed shareability would be useful
40% felt this feature would not curb how often they make orders
Third-party budget apps are used by 3 out of 5 participants
Food delivery app is used atleast once a week by 80% of participants
After compiling all the data collected from the user interviews this is what we learned.
THE PROBLEM
Consumers are unable to track their spending in an easy and quick method on the existing app. To be able to do this, users need to utilize third-party applications, compelling them to share personal information.
Adding a new feature to the DoorDash app where users can view their order history list with monthly totals would eliminate the need to sync with a separate app.
